Handbill Press is a trade name of Latent Enterprises LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive Ste 100, Austin, TX 78731. This page says what we collect, why, who helps us, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: hello@handbillpress.com.
What we collect
When you order
Your name and email, billing address and the tax details Stripe calculates, what you bought, and when. Stripe takes your card details; we never see your full card number.
Stripe's checkout shows a box, ticked, that lets us email you about other Handbill Press files. If you leave it ticked we send at most three emails: one about the other kit, one a month after delivery, and one if you leave checkout unfinished. Each has an unsubscribe link.
When you confirm your details
Your business name, phone number, city and state, services, towns served, offer text, website, a license number if you give one, testimonials you choose to paste, and any logo or photos you upload. We use these only to make your files and to help with your order.
The files we make
Your PDFs, images, text files and editable copies, kept so you can download them again.
When you write to us
Your message and your email address.
When you ask for a free sample
Your business name, city, state, email address, a website if you give one, and whether you left ticked the box that lets us email you again. We use them to find your business, make your sample and email you its link. We look your business up with Google Places and keep only its Google Place ID. The sample email is sent because you asked for it. If you leave the box ticked, we may email you about Handbill Press afterwards, and every such email has an unsubscribe link. If we cannot tell which business you mean, we email you to say a person is checking your request, and we send no sample until they have.
About businesses we may write to
To offer a free sample, we collect business information from public sources: your business name, phone number, address, website, a public business email address, public records such as license boards, and the Google Place ID of your listing. We use a Place ID to fetch your review link when we make a file. We do not keep Google reviews or photos.
Our emails to businesses, and how to stop them
We write to businesses about a free sample. Every email says who we are, includes our postal address and has an unsubscribe link. To stop, click the link, reply STOP, or write to hello@handbillpress.com. We honor it within one hour of receiving it, and it applies to every address we use. We keep your email address or domain and the reason on a do-not-contact list so we do not write to you again. If you reply to any of our emails, we stop writing to that business.
Measuring this site, in plain words
An analytics tag is installed on this site and follows the rules below.
- Most places, no choice made: measurement runs without asking. We use Google Tag Manager with Google Analytics, and Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to recognize your visits. Google receives the page address, your browser type and your IP address, like any site you load, and uses them to count visits. We tell Google to keep advertising signals off.
- EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, and when we cannot tell where you are: nothing is measured until you click Allow measurement.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it and you have not made a choice, we load no tag at all. If you click Allow measurement while it is on, we treat that as your choice and measure. A choice you saved before your browser started sending the signal does not override it; you may be asked again.
- Do Not Track: we do not respond to Do Not Track signals. The legal signal we honor is Global Privacy Control.
- Turn measurement off: use the button below any time, anywhere. It turns measurement off in this browser immediately and remembers that for a year.
- Allow measurement: if you click it, measurement is on wherever you are, including the countries above and when your browser sends Global Privacy Control, and we remember it for a year. It lets analytics use cookies to recognize your visits.
- Forms: while measurement is on, Google may read the email address or phone number you type into a form on this site and send a hashed (scrambled) copy to Google Analytics for measurement. When measurement is off, nothing is read or sent.
We learn your country from Cloudflare, which carries this site, through a small page on our own domain, which returns only your country and whether your browser sends Global Privacy Control. We use no third-party location lookup. We run no advertising or social media pixels on this site. Your choice is saved only in this browser, for 365 days.
Checking your settings.
You can also change this on the Privacy choices page, or from the link at the bottom of every page.
Who helps us run the service
- Stripe: payments, receipts and sales tax calculation.
- Google: the Places service to fetch review links, Slides and Drive to make editable copies, and Tag Manager and Analytics for measurement as described above.
- Resend: sends our order and delivery emails.
- Cloudflare: carries this site and stores your files.
- Our hosting provider: runs the servers that hold orders and files.
- Email tools: services that verify business email addresses and send our emails to businesses.
They handle data for us under their own terms. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Businesses that never buy: deleted 180 days after our last message to them. We keep only the do-not-contact record and the Google Place ID.
- Customers: kept while you have an account with us, and after that for as long as tax and accounting rules require us to keep order records.
- Do-not-contact records: kept, so we honor your request.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, and to stop our emails, by writing to hello@handbillpress.com. We may need to keep some order records for tax and legal reasons. This site and our service are for businesses and are not aimed at children.
Changes
